As stated on the official CDAP website:

“In Budget 2021, the Government of Canada announced the $4 billion Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) to help get your business online, give your e-commerce presence a boost or help digitalize your business’s operations.

CDAP provides funding and support to businesses, as well as training and work opportunities for young Canadians.”

Grow Your Business Online

Consumers are shifting toward digital platforms to keep up with the growing demand for e-commerce capabilities. Businesses must adopt digital technologies to serve current customers and attract new customers in a digital economy. With the adoption of digital technologies, businesses may serve customers more efficiently and attract new customers in a digital economy. Over 90,000 small businesses will be assisted through this grant programme. Grants will be provided through local and regional service providers across Canada. The grant application period has closed. E-commerce advisors will assist small businesses to adopt e-commerce.

A micro-grant of up to $2,400 will be provided to eligible businesses to help with the costs associated with adopting digital technologies.

Boost Your Business Technology

Canadian-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can receive support through the Boost Your Business Technology grant to transition to new digital technologies. Small and medium-sized companies may access a digital adoption marketplace where experienced digital assistance specialists can provide a tailor-made digital adoption plan.

Digital assistance specialists will work with companies to help them achieve their digital economy ambitions and increase their competitiveness by recommending digital pathways and strategies. The service of a digital advisor may be retained with up to 90% of the overall expense, up to a maximum of $15,000 for up to 90 days, to assist companies in creating a digital adoption plan.

Businesses also have the opportunity to take advantage of a zero-interest loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to purchase new technology to facilitate technology acquisition. In addition, applicants can leverage the help of talented post-secondary students and recent graduates through subsidized work placements.
